SERGEANT JOHN BRYSON AUVIL WAS A FARMER BEFORE BEING INDUCTED INTO THE USAAF ON 11 MAY 1942. HE WAS ASSIGNED TO THE 2537TH AAF BASE UNIT AT PERRIN FIELD TEXAS. SGT AUVIL WAS HONORABLY DISCHARGED ON 18 OCTOBER 1945 AT AMARILLO FIELD TEXAS. JOHN AUVIL PASSED AWAY ON 22 MARCH 1989 IN OAKLAND MARYLAND.
