PRIVATE FIRST CLASS DELBERT HANSFORD FORRESTER SON OF FRANCIS AND EMMA FORESTER OF TYLER COUNTY WEST VIRGINIA DIED ON 5 AUGUST 1944 AS A RESULT OF  WOUNDS RECEIVED IN COMBAT IN FRANCE. HE SERVED WITH THE 110TH INFANTRY REGIMENT, 28TH INFANTRY REGIMENT "BLOODY BUCKET". HE WAS A FARMER BEFORE ENTERING THE SERVICE IN MARCH OF 1942. HE WAS LAID TO REST AT THE FAIRVIEW METHODIST CHURCH CEMETERY IN TYLER COUNTY WEST VIRGINIA.
