CPL JOHN HOWARD KATALINE ENLISTED IN THE ARMY AROUND JULY OF 1937 AND SERVED UNTIL HE WAS HONORABLY DISCHARGED ON 29 JULY 1945.  HE SERVED IN THE EUROPEAN THEATRE WITH "C" BATTERY 36TH FIELD ARTILLERY REGIMENT FROM 17 AUGUST 1942 UNTIL 16 JULY 1945.

John Howard Kataline, 86, formerly of Hagerstown, Md., passed away July 18, 2003, at Homewood Nursing Home in Williamsport, Md., where he had resided for the last two years.
Graveside services were held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Thomas earlier today.  From 21 Jul 2003.
