T/4 LUTHER E. BONNER WAS A FARM HAND BEFORE HE ENLISTED IN THE ARMY ON 9 JULY 1940. HE WAS ASSIGNED TO THE 10TH CHEMICAL GENERAL SERVICE COMPANY AND SERVED INT HE PACIFIC THEATER FROM 6 MARCH 1942 UNTIL 21 MARCH 1945. T/4 BONNER WAS DISCHARGED ON 20 MAY 1945 AND RETURNED HOME TO WEST VIRGINIA.  THE RAILROAD BOARD AND SOCIAL SECURITY DEATH INDEX LISTS HIS DATE OF PASSING AS 4 MAY 1968.
