Pfc. Michael Durdan-Pfc. Michael Durdan, husband of Mrs. Marie Liller Durdan of Thomas was killed in action in France on August 25, 1944.  He was a graduate of West Scranton High School in Pennsylvania and was employed in a bakery before entering the service May 17, 1942.  He trained at Fort Knox, Ky., Fort Benning, Ga.; and Camp Polk, La.  He is survived by his wife, his parents and five brothers and three sisters.
