Last Known Activity
Private First Class Bilyeu was a member of Company K, 3rd Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division.   He had been on occupation duty in Japan prior to shipping to Korea when the war began.

He was taken Prisoner of War while fighting the enemy near Chochiwon, South Korea on 11 July 1950 (part of Task Force Smith).  He was forced to march to North Korea on the "Tiger Death March".  

He died while a prisoner at Manpo-Jin, North Korea on 31 October 1950.   His remains were not recovered.
