Other Comments:
As a way of "giving back" to my veteran military brothers in general, and specifically to my Cav brothers who I served with in Vietnam, I have become a member of American Huey 369.  Operating out of several hangers at the former Grissom Air Force Base in Peru, Indiana,  AH369 has as its mission, the preservation of the iconic "Huey" helicopter. AH369 currently has 3 flyable Huey's, who like the Veterans who fly them are all veterans of Vietnam.  One of the Huey's is restored as a "slick", another as a Medevac and the most recent addition to our stable of Huey's is 049, a "C" model gunship, also a Veteran of Vietnam.  We fly around the country from May-October educating the public about the Huey's and giving rides to those who want them.  My wife, 4 adult children, my son-in-law, my son-in-law's mother and many of my friends have taken advantage of the opportunity to fly on the Huey"s  and to see what "daddy" did during the war.
