Last Known Activity

US Army, died 16 August 2009 in Petersburg Alaska, from a heart attack. He is survived by wife, Candyce Jones; son, Jason Roy Plank (Marley); grandson, Caeden Gerald Plank; daughter, Joselyn Jean Plank and mother Ramona Jean Plank. His father, LeRoy Plank was deceased on October 8, 2005. Jerry served with CCN, MACV-SOG in Vietnam. He also served on Det A-323 (SCUBA), 1st Special Forces Group. His awards and decorations include: three Silver Stars, three Bronze Stars with "V" for valor, Purple Heart and Combat Infantryman’s Badge. After leaving the service he was employed as a commercial diver in Seattle, Washington and Alaska. He lived in Petersburg, Alaska, since 1997.
