 Additional Information
What are you doing now:
I retired from teaching with the Los Angeles Unified School District on June 30, 2007.

I taught US and World History, Geography, Photography, Latin American Studies, Education and Career Planning and 10th Grade English at one time or another.  Mostly History, Geography and ECP.  I miss teaching, the students and interacting with other teachers, but nothing else.  Not the commute, paper work, meetings or any of the rest.

I now belong to the Orange Empire Railway Museum where I am in the Operations Department and rated to operate several classes of street cars as well as being a certified  Railroad Conductor (On a ship that would be Captain).  I also give talks to visitors about the museum and the history of streetcars and railroads in the Los Angeles area.

Other Comments:
As of Aug 2009 I am married to Debra who is an operating room RN; I have three children:

Michael 34 and going on active duty with the combat engineers in Nov.

Jon 17, special ed, our eternal grade schooler who functions at about 9 or 10 when it comes to video games.  I watched him today, he flies a real mean Mosquito or ME 210.

Jasmine 15, going into 10th grade and her 5th year of the International Baccalauriat Program.  Can't decide if she wants to go into Graphic Arts, Acting or Singing, she is good at all three, also produces videos with a few of her friends  she won one award as a 9th Grader.
