Loel Hunt, Friend, 2406 Jackson Circle, Spirit Lake, IA 51360
Joe and I were RTO's in the third platoon of C/3/22 in the fall of 67. He had not been with us very long but Joe and I became friends. He was a quite individual and a good person to share life's storys and problems with. Joe and I were next to each other when he was KIA by incoming mortor fire. If it had not been for Joe I would have been killed and I'v always felt that I owed him more than I could repay. Joe I think of you often. Saturday, April 15, 2000
