I saw you go down that day
Posted on 2/10/14 - by Sgt. Danny L. Chrisler

Ron, you and I had only met that very day that you were killed. You were riding on my armored personnel carrier that day as a dismount in the jungle. You were instructed to get down and walk and I told you to "be safe". Within about 10 minutes you were shot right in front of us. Our medic tried everything to save you, but it was not to be. Two others were also killed that day alongside of you. They were probably your friends. I want you to know that I personally got that Viet Cong soldier that had shot you. There were two of them. Rest in Peace Brother! I got your name rubbing from the Wall last year. You died a HERO in my eyes. Love you man, Sgt. Danny Chrisler.

I never knew you...
but my father-in-law did. You went to basic with him. He never heard from you again and had us look for your name on the wall hoping it wasn't there and that you had just forgotten the reunion. Thank-you for touching his life and giving your's for us

I have never forgotten you
Posted on 11/20/13 - by Kathie

Ronny, you were my first boyfriend at St. Anthony in Toledo. I still have the notes we passed back and forth at school. I remember the dances we went to at Ryder school on Friday nights. I can still see you in your shawl colored sweater, black with a gray and white stripe. I loved you then and still do. I think of you so many times and thank you for your service to our country. I know you are with your Dad, Mom and Brother now. I miss you and will never forget you. XO

TO MY BIG BROTHER
January 10,2005 You were my big brother that I was close to. I was in the 7th grade when you left us, and it still seems unreal. We all miss you terribly. Mom has come to join you on October 31, 2004 at age 81. Sarah a niece you never got to know will be close by now as she will be in the area next month. I had the opportunity to pay my respects to all of the heroes at the wall this past weekend. Love ya Ronnie and will never forget!

November 12, 2011-I visited your grave today and swept away the leaves. I wonered what you would would have done with your life if you were not taken that day. We all miss you. You now have Mom and Dad along with Jimmy to keep you company. And some day we will all be together again.
Your sister- Marlene
