PFC Patrick W. McGuire (RA 13345354) Born in Allegheny, Pennsylvania in 1933. Enlisted in the Army around 1950 and was assigned to the 25th Reconnaissace Company of the 25th Infantry Division most likely while it was doing Occupation Duty in Osaka, Japan. The unit was committed to the Korean War on July 13, 1950 leaving Yokohama, Japan and landing in Pusan on July 17, 1950 and was immeddiately committed to battle. According to some records, PFC Patrick W. McGuire was awarded the Silver Star for Gallantry In Action. However, I am not able, thus far, to find the Citation for it. Not all are available. He was Killed In Action while Missing In Action in North Lorea. His body has never been recovered. He is listed on the Hawaiian Memorial.
