For My Sweet, Sweet Brother
I was such a little girl when you went away, But know that my memories of you will forever stay. I was so,so young, that last time I saw your face, I STILL struggle with the void of your empty space. I was such a little girl when you left, but you, I certainly did love, You made it so easy, with your kindness and meekness of a dove. I wish I would have told you what I really thought of you. But being young and light on understanding, it's something I failed to do. I was such a little girl when you left, do you remember me? How I used look up to you, how you really made me see? That though times were as they were, and we were years apart, That I could be anything and everything, that surfaced in my heart. Did you really know how you inspired me, to be what I am today? Did you know that I thought you were a special brother, and you helped to pave my way? Oh Yes! You are my Hero! You are my Hero! That feels so good to say! And oh yes, I Love and Adore You, and will see you again some day. Baby Sis, Phyllis

“You are Remembered”
Peace and condolence, to the family and friends. "He which hath no stomach to this fight let him depart. But we in it shall be remembered. We few, we happy few, we band of brothers!! For he today, that sheds his blood with me, shall always be my brother”. Rest in peace brave soldier, you have not been forgotten. (W.Shakespeare) May God Bless You for your Sacrifice!!!

~In Remembrance of a Fallen Hero~

In Remembrance of this Young Soldier, with a Multitude of Thanks for his Courage, Service and Dedication to our Country and for Freedom. Rest well and know that you will NEVER BE FORGOTTEN. I am the sister of such a young hero, who made the Supreme Sacrifice in Vietnam 1967......now arises from hallowed ground a delicate cloud of bugle notes that softly say, go to sleep... Comrades true, born anew, peace to you. Your souls shall be where the heroes are and your memories shine like the morning star...Slumber well where the shells screamed and fell...The danger has passed, and now at last, go to sleep...  NEVER FORGOTTEN
FOREVER REMEMBERED

"If you are able, save for them a place inside of you....and save one backward glance when you are leaving for the places they can no longer go.....Be not ashamed to say you loved them....
Take what they have left and what they have taught you with their dying and keep it with your own....And in that time when men decide and feel safe to call the war insane, take one moment to embrace those gentle heroes you left behind...."

Quote from a letter home by Maj. Michael Davis O'Donnell
KIA 24 March 1970. Distinguished Flying Cross: Shot down and Killed while attempting to rescue 8 fellow soldiers surrounded by attacking enemy forces.

We Nam Brothers pause to give a backward glance, and post this remembrance to you, one of the gentle heroes lost to the War in Vietnam:

Slip off that pack. Set it down by the crooked trail. Drop your steel pot alongside. Shed those magazine-ladened bandoliers away from your sweat-soaked shirt. Lay that silent weapon down and step out of the heat. Feel the soothing cool breeze right down to your soul ... and rest forever in the shade of our love, brother.

From your Nam-Band-Of-Brothers

In Remembrance
I am leaving remembrances for random veterans thanking them for the great contribution they have given our nation. I want you to know that you weren’t forgotten. Our nation looks at those of you who fought in perilous times for our nation, even without the full support of everyone, and gave the ultimate honor for your country. Thanks a million times over
