Never met, heartfelt condolences to your family
Posted on 5/26/18 - by Lisa J Murphey asil_ yehprum@yahoo.com
I was put up for adoption in 1960. Jeffery’s Father Alan was my birthright Father. I found my birthright Mother in 1990 and met her in Minnesota. I live in Memphis, but born in Des Moines. I found out about Jeffery and his family during my visit. I went to DC to visit family because that’s where my adoptive Mother was from. We went to the wall to look up your name and honor you. Your in my heart and prayers. We look alike and I wish I had met you and your family. Bless them for raising a courageous son. Always in my heart, Lisa J Murphey...aka Renee Diane Laucamp Maurer

I barely know who Jeffrey Alan Maurer is. But I was assigned to do a History report on him. Now that I am reading all these facts about him... it really makes me think. I would like to thank this man for risking his life for our country. God Bless everyone.
Never Forgotten

Our time was short at Clarence Community School, but you made an impression. A half-scale traveling version of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial was in Cedar Falls recently and I touched your name and remembered. Thank you to all who served and those that made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. You will not be forgotten
Remembering An American Hero

Dear SP4 Jeffrey Alan Maurer, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, Sir
Curt Carter

Who Shall We Send
"And God said who shall we send. I answered I am here, send me.'
Isaiah 6:8
Ewiges Restgeben An Ihn
Do not stand at my grave and weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.

NEVER FORGOTTEN
FOREVER REMEMBERED
Slip off that pack. Set it down by the crooked trail. Drop your steel pot alongside. Shed those magazine-ladened bandoliers away from your sweat-soaked shirt. Lay that silent weapon down and step out of the heat. Feel the soothing cool breeze right down to your soul....and rest forever in the shade of our love, brother.

Not forgotten
Jeffrey, Although we never met, I just want you to know you are not forgotten. You gave the ultimate sacrifice, your life for what you believed in. Sleep well my friend, and thank you for protecting the freedoms we have today.
