I did not know Sam personally...only in spirit. As a combat wounded Viet Nam Era veteran, I never miss an opportunity to praise the selfless efforts of combat meds, and all other medical folks of that era .....and the current era as well. A HAND SALUTE to you sir...and all other meds that allowed me to experience a great wife and two beautiful daughters .
