  Fellow squad member
I did not get a chance to know you real well. We shared the same bunker on Hill 411. I had been in country a couple months when you arrived and left for the rear a few weeks after you arrived. My memory of you is sitting in front of the bunker at night using what light there was to write home. It was quite apparent you loved and miss your family back home a great deal. Like all of us you just wanted to serve your time and get back home to your family and loved ones.
