I enlisted in Co. C(-), 20th SFG(A), 1st SF, Florida Army National Guard at the old Maxwell G. Snyder Armory in Jacksonville, FL on 9AUG69. Although 1LT Frank Bray administered the oath of enlistment, then SGM Pete Morris did all the work to "enlist" me in the unit. Many soldiers disliked their recruiters and thought they had not been told the truth upon enlistment. For me, I can say that Pete Morris was one of the greatest soldiers I ever met, and we became lifelong friends. CW4 Morris died on December 20, 2018.
